Meet the Molinos Team…
Michael Warr MA PGCE
Founder and Managing Director of Molinos Media Ltd.
In previous lives, Michael worked as a copywriter for the Guardian Media Group before taking up a post as a German teacher at a renowned school in Manchester and then as a teacher of Irish language at the University of Liverpool. All throughout this time, he indulged his passion for translating, primarily from German, as a sideline. In 2016, however, he took the plunge and decided to put his skills and drive in this area into practice by setting up his own bespoke German language translation agency.
Michael is also heavily involved with the GAA in both Manchester and County Kerry. When away from his MacBook, which seems to follow him everywhere, he is definitely more of an 'outdoors' person!
Richard Lucas MA PGCE
When not singing the blues with his band 'The Mighty Revelators', Rick is one of our lead German-to-English specialists. He also offers face-to-face and telephone/video interpeting. Michael has known him for over twenty years from their days studying at MMU in Manchester and the IUFM in Rennes, Brittany. Halcyon days when Rick was still to be seen driving around Bury in his beloved Trabant…
Nicolas Gaido-Force
Another face from the MMU days, ex-teacher Nico works for Molinos on an ad hoc basis producing and editing translations both into and out of French.
Thomas Vitasse
Thomas actually runs his own agency in Paris but is regularly in Manchester. He is our 'go-to' man for German-French assignments.
